Lonzo Ball, UCLA

(3) UCLA vs. Kent State (14)

Lonzo Ball has been making waves since his time at Chino Hills. The Ball brothers in general made a lot of waves in Southern California. He kept his talents local and in his time at UCLA has shown he’s ready for the NBA. But first, he gets to prove it on one of the biggest stages of all, in the NCAA Tournament.

Ball only averaged 14.6 points per game this season, but considering he’s a point guard, that’s not a huge deal. He did shoot at an astonishing 71.7 percent from two and 41 percent from three. He makes almost eight assists per game along with nearly two steals per game. His court vision is outstanding and he has more than enough energy to play above the rim when he gets to it.

This draft is going to be guard heavy, but Ball has the chops to go as one of the early picks in the draft. It would be surprising if he isn’t at least top 5.
