James Johnson, Miami Heat (Unrestricted Free Agent)

Current Salary: $4 M

Age: 30

James Johnson has been something of an NBA enigma since he first entered the league eight years ago. Much like with Dion Waiters, Erik Spolestra seems to have found the key to unlocking Johnson’s natural talent.

He’s filling up the box score on a nightly basis, and the Heat’s offense flows through him for large portions of games.

He’s already 30, so this is likely to be his last big payday. If Miami doesn’t prioritize bringing him back, some team will pony up what it takes to pry him away, likely tripling his current salary in the process.
