11. Charlotte Hornets – Zach Collins, C, Gonzaga

Zach Collins fits a huge need for the Hornets. Collins is only 19, but he offers rim protection nd three point shooting. A 7-foot center, who can do both and run the floor is a unique player. He will be a bit of project, but the Hornets should not be in a win now mode.

Collins needs to improve strength and playmaking ability. It could take a few years for him to reach his potential, but that doesnt mean he cant contribute right away. Zach will be a huge upgrade over Miles Plumlee at back up center. He can also play along Cody Zeller in bigger lineups. Donovan Mitchell was also considered for this pick.

However, I think the Hornets try to fill their need for back up point guard either in free agency or in the second round. Collins fills a more important need. Lack of depth up front killed the Hornets last year. Collins solves that immediatley. He is a modern day center, who in a few years can be a stud.
