2. Minnesota Timberwolves

The future may be coming to Minnesota sooner than expected. The acquisition of Jimmy Butler and the signing of Jeff Teague shows that Minnesota wants to compete now. While Minnesota had to pay the price of giving up two of their prospects in Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine, Butler is worth it.

The addition of Butler and Teague to a core consisting of Andrew Wiggins and KAT could prove to compete right away. Towns and Wiggins have shown superstar potential and Jimmy Butler will take the pressure off them.

The Timberwolves this past season did not show much progression from the year earlier. However, that could be attributed to the injury of Zach Lavine before the All-Star break. The Wolves ended up with another top 10 pick which was dealt for Butler. Looking ahead, the Wolves will more than likely be competing for a playoff spot this year. Long term, they will be competing for a championship, don’t sleep on the Wolves.
