Memphis Grizzlies

Hope they aren’t making a mistake by keeping this core intact

It appears that the Memphis Grizzlies are going to keep this core intact and try to put it all together next season. That means they’re not going to trade Marc Gasol, who is a free agent after next season, nor will they try to rid themselves of the huge Mike Conley deal.

That’s fine, and probably the move that they were forced into after firing Dave Fizdale. But they better hope it works.

Memphis could probably get a nice haul for Gasol this season, because he still has another full season on his contract. But that return likely lessens if they’re forced to trade him next season.
