Portland Trail Blazers

Will this Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum backcourt continue to work?

While the Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum backcourt remains one of the tops in the NBA, it’s fair to wonder whether it works for the Portland Trail Blazers specifically. Not because they can’t operate on the court together – because they can – but because the Blazers continue to leave much to be desired when they play.

They’re just three games over .500 and just 1.5 games ahead of the 8th seeded New Orleans Pelicans.

There’s a legit possibility that they may once again sneak into the playoffs as an 8th seed, and once again lose to the Golden State Warriors in 4 or 5 games. At a certain point, that’s not good enough anymore and they will have no choice but to discuss potential changes.
