NBA: Predicting the West playoff picture at the midway point of the 2017-18 season

Games remaining vs .500 or better: 25

The Houston Rockets look like the biggest threat to the Golden State Warriors Warriors, not just in the West but in the NBA. Houston has the NBA’s top offense and with the addition of Chris Paul they have another outstanding player maker to go with NBA MVP favorite James Harden.

It’s hard to see them catching the Warriors, but if any team is going to do perhaps it’s going to be the Rockets.
