25. Los Angeles Lakers: Landry Shamet, SG/PG, Wichita State

Big Board Rank: 23

The Lakers are god awful three-point shooters. They are currently last in three-point percentage in the NBA. Landry Shamet is the best perimeter shooting first round prospect on my board so he’s going to LA.

Shamet should thrive playing off ball with guys like Lonzo Ball. Ball should be able to find Shamet open and he can come off pin down screens, and other off ball movement to create even more shots for himself.

Shamet should be able to step in immediately and fill a void for the Lakers. It is worth noting that there has been some questioning on how well Shamet will shoot from three-point range with such flat shot. Trust the fact that he’s shooting 45% on 5.7 three-point shots a game, and not his flat shot. Shamet should be able to replace Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. He is younger, with more playmaking ability, and a much better handle.
