Lastly, when it comes to skills that he excels at, Lamar Peters really takes pride on the defensive end of the floor.
He plays with aggression and is not afraid to get up in your face when he’s guarding his man. Peters is averaging 1.5 steals a game in only 25 minutes per game, which is why comparing him to Shai Gilegous-Alexander, who is a projected first round pick, and is known to be a quality defender, isn’t that far off.
Shai averages 1.68 steals a game and plays 32.5 minutes a game. Similar numbers.
