Boston Celtics

Burning Question: If another star becomes available, should Boston go all-in?

Best case scenario, the Boston Celtics will likely lose to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals this season. Even if Gordon Hayward returns, which is being downplayed, I don’t think anyone anticipates this team beating the Warriors.

The most likely outcome is that they bow out in the Eastern Conference Finals against a more experienced Cleveland Cavaliers team, though.

Their big question comes in the form of a summer possibility. Let’s say a star like Anthony Davis, or someone in the same class, becomes available on the trade market. Does – or should – Boston go all-in to try to acquire said star? Or should they let their young core of Jaylen Brown, Terry Rozier and Jayson Tatum mature together?
