24. Atlanta Hawks (via Wolves) – Jacob Evans, SG, Cincinnati
The Atlanta Hawks have a history of developing wings into solid NBA players. Jacob Evans has the potential the be a plug in player right away off the bench for Atlanta.
He fits into the three and d archetype, but has more ball handling ability than your typical three and d player. Even though Evans fits into this archetype there have been questions about his lateral quickness to be able to guard quicker wings, but he is a fantastic team defender. The Hawks have a serious lack of talent on their roster but they still have Kent Bazemore a seasoned veteran under contract for next season.
Bazemore will help Evans not get thrown into large NBA minutes early in his career. However, Evans will have to be prepared for a role off the bench if the Hawks don’t look for wing depth in the offseason.
