2018 NBA Mock Draft 3.0: Cavs take a big risk; Trae Young jumps into the top 5

5. Phoenix Suns – Trae Young, G, Oklahoma

During the first half of the NCAA college basketball season Trae Young was all the hype. He was all over SportsCenter and deservedly so.

He was arguably the most notorious college basketball player in the country – he was even drawing comparisons to Stephen Curry. However, since then, he’s left a lot to be desired. And while plenty of that had to do with the mediocre talent that surrounded him at Oklahoma, many were quickly jumping off the Trae Young hype train.

Now that individual NBA Draft workouts will begin in the next couple of months, I firmly believe that Young is going to make a push back into the top 5. And Phoenix could be his perfect landing spot.
