LA Clippers – Doc Rivers

Although there are articles claiming Rivers, like Mike Budenholzer, has interesting in coaching the Milwaukee Bucks, Rivers has said in an exit interview that he would like to finish his coaching career with the Clippers.

Only those within the L.A. organization have a clue as to what the plan is moving forward. When the Clippers traded Chris Paul, re-signed Griffin, and signed Danilo Gallinari, they seemed like a team still wanting to contend.

This was a team that was in the potential LeBron James sweepstakes.

But the trade of Blake Griffin to Detroit and the constant noise of the Clippers front office wanting to trade DeAndre Jordan, the process seems to shift towards building through the draft for the future.

So when Doc Rivers says he likes where this team is headed, what does the entail? The main reason why Rivers is coaching the Clippers is because he didn’€™t want to go with the Celtics plan of the slow re-build. Why would he accept that from the Clippers?

Anything is possible with this Clippers situation.
