8. Cleveland Cavaliers (via Brooklyn Nets) – Mikal Bridges, F, Villanova

I was torn on what exactly the Cleveland Cavaliers would prioritize if they actually made a pick here – only because I truly believe there’s a high probably this pick gets moved – and it came down to two players.

Trae Young, who would help fill the void that Kyrie Irving left, or Mikal Bridges, who could be the sidekick that LeBron has needed in the frontcourt.

Thinking about how the NBA has evolved over the last few years, I’d lean Bridges as the pick here. While he would help LeBron in the frontcourt, he could also be a player Cleveland could lean on in the even that James leaves for greener pastures in free agency.
