1. Henny at Halftime?

I’m sorry, but we just absolutely must revisit this play. You can point to many things that lost Game 1 of this year’s NBA Finals. Hill missing a FT, the ref’s turning a blind eye to many plays that should have gone in the Cavs favor or anyone not named LeBron shooting under 35 percent from the field.

However, the second shortest player on the floor grabbing an offensive rebound against (alleged) seven-foot Kevin Durant off a free throw, taking the time to dribble out of a paint in which he had an open floater opportunity, having multiple open teammates to pass to once he did realize the game as only tied and fling the ball to the very-much-not-open George Hill for a blocked shot was vintage JR.

It almost always seems like his focus is about 80/20. He’s there in body and spirit, but sometimes it seems like his noggin is thinking about golf or pipes or whatever he does outside of the game. He may have cost the Cavaliers a golden opportunity to have a chance in this series, but after dropping two in Golden State, it’s not looking too hot. Jr, they need a big game out of you man.
