2018 NBA Mock Draft 5.0: Mo Bamba crashes the top 3; Trae Young falls

16. Phoenix Suns – Zhaire Smith, G, Texas Tech

I have a feeling Zhaire Smith could be selected higher than 16, but I also sense the Phoenix Suns could take a shot on potential here too. Smith is athletic and can shoot, but we don’t really know how good he can be.

That’s part of the reason why he’s such a mystery, as he didn’t play a big role for the Red Raiders during his lone season there.

The raw talent is there, though, and that’s why I believe he could be a good fit with the Suns. Taking a point guard could be another option here for the Suns, but sometimes you have to go with your gut.
