8. Ricky Rubio, Donovan Mitchell – Utah Jazz

For the most part, it’s almost as if the Utah Jazz didn’t miss a beat even after losing Gordon Hayward last summer. Donovan Mitchell was a blessing in disguise and was arguably the best rookie from last year’s class.

He has all the looks of a future superstar and he’s a big reason why the Jazz haven’t missed a beat since losing their former all-star caliber player. The addition of Ricky Rubio also paid dividends last season for Utah, and he looked more and more comfortable as the season went on.

The Jazz are expected to do big things this upcoming season, and a big reason why is because of their really good starting backcourt.
