Trae Young looks really good

Through three games, Trae Young is averaging 23 points and eight assists on 46 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. Specifically, in his third game of the season, Young sent shockwaves across the league by dropping a 35 and 11 stat line.

Again, in just his third game of his young career. The only other rookies in NBA history to score at least 35 points and tally 10 assists are Stephen Curry, LeBron, Allen Iverson and Jason Kidd. That isn’t terrible company for Young to be in.

Perhaps those comparisons to Curry weren’t far off. It’s only been three games and it wouldn’t be fair to overreact after a few good games, but Trae Young looks like the real deal. The Hawks may have hit a home run with this pick.
