Through the first quarter of the NBA season, who really expected the Charlotte Hornets to have the same record as the Celtics? If you did, you’re either a Hornets lifer or you’re lying out of your mind.
But you can’t deny that the Hornets have done a splendid job recovering from their down year last season. Kemba Walker has fueled this team’s resurgence, as he continues to have a career year during the final year off his contract with Charlotte.
If Kemba can keep this level of play up, there’s no question that this team will be in the running for one of the final three playoff spots in the Eastern Conference this season. And should make their decision on whether or not to re-sign Kemba all that much more simple during the summer.
