San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs are 14-14, and don’t look anything like an NBA playoff team. Much less in the vastly more competitive Western Conference. Much like many teams on this list, the big fracture on this team comes on the defensive end.

And that’s not surprising considering this team lost one of the best this past off-season in Kawhi Leonard on top of the Dejounte Murray injury. However, this team has a bottom 5 defense and it has been so bad it makes their top 10 offense not matter on most nights.

While the combination of DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge is producing, it simply hasn’t given this team the right formula to be as impactful as many thought – myself included. San Antonio not being in the top 8 in the conference is weird – in fact it hasn’t happened since the 1996-97 season.

This team needs a shakeup to the roster in the worst way, and a trade could accomplish that.
