Atlanta Hawks: A consistent second half from Trae Young
The Atlanta Hawks have some really interesting young prospects on their roster, but there might not be a bigger name on their roster (who also has a higher ceiling) than Trae Young. After quite the striking start, Young has had an up and down rookie season.
Through the first third of the year, Young is averaging 16 points, seven assists and three rebounds per contest with the Hawks. However, he’s struggling with his shooting consistency, shooting only 38 perfect from the field and 25 percent from 3-point range.
Entering the NBA Draft, many were quick to compare Young to Stephen Curry. However, that simply hasn’t been the case thus far in his career. Even though the comparison was somewhat unfair, many still thought Young would be a star in the NBA.
While he has shown flashes of his star potential, he hasn’t been consistent enough to crown him a slam dunk future star. Hopefully that changes for Trae Young during the second half of the season.
