Memphis Grizzlies
For all the wrong reasons, the Memphis Grizzlies are a team to watch in the weeks leading up to the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline. The Grizzlies, after a nice start to the season, have really fallen off course over the last few weeks.
It hasn’t been a great 2019, to say the least, for the Grizzlies. Memphis is currently 19-26, and is 4-17 since Dec. 8. That’s tied for the second-worst record in the NBA over that span. Suffice to say, the Grizzlies are stuck. But the worst part about all this all is that their two best players on their roster are past their prime, and are on big money deals.
One player, though, that can come into play as the NBA Trade Deadline approaches is Marc Gasol. He has a player option for next season, but there’s no certainty that he’s going to opt in and if he doesn’t Memphis could lose him for nothing during the summer.
Could the Grizzlies shop Gasol in the coming weeks? It might be smart to, and he could be one of the bigger surprise moves of the NBA Trade Deadline.
