8. Houston Rockets (28-20)

James Harden is on a tear, making a real push for another NBA MVP, and Chris Paul is about to make his return to the lineup. All in all, after their really rough start to the season, the Houston Rockets are back on track.

The Rockets are just two games back of the third seed in the West, and just 4.5 games back of the second seed. It’s going to be investing to see what this team elects to do at the NBA Trade Deadline, because you can almost bet that Daryl Morey is not going to stand pat.

This team has holes in the roster, and need to make a few upgrades if they really want to be taken seriously in the playoffs.
