19. Dallas Mavericks (24-28)
The Dallas Mavericks stole the headlines earlier this week in the NBA, as they came away with Kristaps Porzingis. The team completed the trade with the Knicks, parting ways with Dennis Smith Jr., who wanted out, and the expiring contracts of Wesley Matthews and DeAndre Jordan (along with a couple picks).
All in all, if Kristaps continues to develop into the player that most expected him to be, he should make a good running-mate for Luka Doncic. They could create the next Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki in the NBA.
The Mavs have two foundational pieces at the moment, and a year ago this team really had not vision. That has changed drastically. It’s pretty amazing the job that this front office has done over the last few months.
