9. San Antonio Spurs (32-22)
Don’t look now, but the San Antonio Spurs are just one game back of the 4th seed and three games of the 3rd seed in the Western Conference playoff race. Gregg Popovich has this team hitting on all cylinders as of late.
The Spurs have lost six of their last eight, and have done so with DeMar DeRozan missing three of the team’s last four games. Their best basketball as a unit could still be ahead of them, and making a move at the NBA Trade Deadline could really give this team the firepower it needs for a true second half push.
The big question, however, is whether or not they actually make a move.
