3. Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers are the only team in the league who can honestly say their starting five can compete with the Warriors starting five. After being one of the more active teams at this year’s trade deadline, they now have a starting unit consisting of Ben Simmons, J.J. Redick, Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid. As long as they stay healthy, this unit can compete with anyone in the league (including Golden State)!
As well as being one of the more versatile offensive lineups around, this Philly squad can also cause major problems on the other end with their ridiculous length, rim protection and lockdown weapons on the perimeter like Jimmy Butler and Ben Simmons. Those guys are certainly capable of causing problems for guys like Steph and Klay which could help disrupt the Dubs and get them out of a rhythm.
This team may still be a year or so away from true contention, but if they can figure this thing out quicker than expected, they could be number one on this list before you know it.
