Clawing For A Ring

The Toronto Raptors have made it clear they are only out this season for winning an NBA Championship. The Raptors have positioned themselves where they either make a NBA Finals appearance or the season didn’t live up to expectations.

From trading DeMar DeRozan in the off-season to trading for Marc Gasol at the trade deadline, those are just two major signs of how serious the Raptors are taking this season.

The addition of Marc Gasol is in my opinion the best move of the entire 2018-19 NBA season. The Raptors were able to improve their center position from a starting level player in Jonas Valanciunas to an All-Star and All-NBA Player in Marc Gasol.

Gasol gives the Raptors a offensive weapon that can initiate offensive and is arguably one of the best passing big men ever. Combine those skills with the fact that Gasol is a former 2013 Defensive Player of the year makes Gasol a dangerous addition with what the Raptors already have.

If Marc Gasol plays the remainder of this season the way he is capable the Raptors might end up being the best team in the entire NBA come June.
