Which prospects will shrink in the spotlight?

While there will certainly be prospects that make the most of their opportunity in front of the nation as a whole and numerous NBA Draft scouts from almost every team in the NBA, there will also be prospects that fall short and miss big opportunities with the platform that they’re given.

It should also be noted that it’s unfair to rate prospects on how they perform in a few games in March, but it should be considered in their draft ratings. In the recent past, there’s one performance that comes to mind that, in retrospect, probably should’ve alerted us about a specific player. And that’s Andrew Wiggins.

In the game that Kansas was eliminated in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, Wiggins only scored four points on 1-6 shooting in 34 minutes played as the Jayhawks were eliminated by Stanford in the second-round of the tournament. Perhaps that should’ve been the moment that we realized that Wiggins wasn’t a star, and didn’t have the “IT” factor.
