19. Charlotte Hornets (34-39)
With less than 10 games remaining in the regular season, the Charlotte Hornets are only two games back of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference but it will be tough for them to leapfrog two teams in the standings to secure a playoff berth.
And it’s a real shame that the Hornets won’t be participating in the playoffs this season, especially after the year that Kemba Walker has put together. With that said, there is plenty at stake for the Hornets this summer. Kemba is a free agent, and there’s no guarantee that he’ll be back with the team next year.
For Charlotte, this could be the beginning of the end for this current core. Which, despite their overall shortcomings, would no question be somewhat bittersweet after what they’ve done together.
