6. Washington Wizards – DeAndre Hunter, F, Virginia
Fresh off winning an NCAA Championship for the Virginia Cavaliers, it wouldn’t be surprising to see DeAndre Hunter jump up the draft boards a bit. That generally comes with the territory of winning, and we see it in every draft class.
The Washington Wizards should be taking the best player available at this point in the draft, and it’s just a coincidence the they will have a glaring need at the wing position – after trading Otto Porter Jr. at the NBA Trade Deadline.
Hunter is the ideal 3-and-D player that you want on your roster, and while he might not have the highest of ceilings in this draft class has the ability to be a really good player right away. Even more so if he’s surrounded by the talented that the Wizards have.
