For the Golden State Warriors, the draft has been utilized almost perfectly over the last few seasons. They have successfully filled the holes on their roster when it comes to depth with the likes of Patrick McCaw, Jordan Bell and Kevon Looney, amongst others, in recent years.
They could do it again by adding Grant Williams who is a player that you stick and play. He won’t ever become the next superstar in the NBA – and I don’t think anyone is really expecting that – but he could be a valuable contributor in the future.
Williams, as a 6-foot-7 junior, averaged 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists on 57 percent shooting from the field. He even improved his 3-point shooting from last season to this year, shooting 33 percent. However, on only roughly one attempt per game. That certainly would have to improve at the next level. But 3-point shooting is so infectious in Golden State, he might just develop a jumper one day.
