Do the Raptors need KD out to have a chance?
Nobody is giving Toronto much of a chance in this series, and that’s even with Kevin Durant being officially ruled out of Game 1 (and possibly longer).
But, the Raptors do have a few things going for them:
- They have homecourt advantage and with KD missing game one, the Raps have a golden opportunity to jump out to an early series lead and seize control of the finals.
- Every single one of Toronto’s rotation guys is either a good or great defender, meaning they can throw a ton of different looks at Steph and Klay.
- And they have Drake (just kidding)!
Even if/when KD does return, Toronto still has Kawhi Leonard (arguably the best perimeter defender since Gary Payton) who can match up with him.
And speaking of The Claw…
