Indiana Pacers – Utilize cap space while upholding the team

With an all-around nicely fit starting lineup centered around All-Star Victor Oladipo and one of the league’s best benches behind them the Indiana Pacers are a real threat to any team they come across.

Possibly the scariest aspect of this team is that they have the capability to get better. The Pacers have over $45 million in practical cap space allowing them to test the market this free agency and sign almost anyone they’d like. Free agency also happens to be this teams biggest concern as some of their key players are unrestricted free agents. It is crucial for Indiana to bring back Bojan Bogdanovic and Thaddeus Young and if not use their money to sign a better replacement.

Right now their weakest spot comes at the point guard position with Darren Collison as the starter and Cory Joseph as the reserve. Indiana did draft Aaron Holiday so if they were to not sign a guard this summer they have hopes for the future in their young prospect. If Aaron is anything like his brother Jrue then this team will have made the right choice and put the final piece of the puzzle into their top-to-bottom talent-packed team.
