Say what you want about the Los Angeles Lakers missing out on Kawhi Leonard, or how they were used in order for Kawhi and his camp to get what he wanted from the Clippers, but you can’t take away from their acquisition of Anthony Davis.
The combination of LeBron James and AD will be one of the NBA’s best duos this season. They might actually be the best. The Lakers, in turn, will now be a real contender in the Western Conference, assuming health.
The big question is whether or not this team has enough depth to make real noise. That is yet to be determined, but they successfully landed the second star. Mission accomplished.
