7. Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are another example of what an all-around great team and system can do if they have a talented enough leader to guide the way to greatness. Nikola Jokic is that talented leader. The Nuggets have a great supporting cast around him with guys like Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, Will Barton, Torrey Craig, Malik Beasley, and All-Star Paul Millsap all doing their part in helping the team to the best of their abilities.
The Nuggets had seven players averaging 10-plus points last season and are only getting better with guys like Monte Morris continuing to develop and highly ranked prospect Michael Porter Jr., who some say is the best player on the team, finally getting his shot to take the court after not playing a minute last season due to an injury he sustained in college.
The Nuggets are a concern for anyone who plays them with the weapons to suppress any formidable opponent both offensively and defensively. It would not be unlikely to see this team try and have a go at the LA teams or anyone who is seen as superior to them in late April.
Denver is certainly the best team in the Western Conference that no one seems to be talking about.
