We The Champs
I’ve been asked multiple times how I feel about Kawhi leaving. Of course, based on how things played out, it’s a completely valid question. I had in interaction on Twitter that I think sums it up perfectly.
Of course, we’re bummed that Kawhi didn’t stay but there’s no question that in a little less than three months, on December 11th when he returns to Toronto in a Los Angeles Clippers uniform, the Fun Guy will receive a hero’s welcome.
The Raptors will be spending their 25th anniversary season as NBA Champions. Again, it would be hard to imagine more perfect symmetry.
Talk all you want about the luck, the what if’s, the if only’s. Go ahead, say they’re not going to even make the playoffs next season. We The North… We the Champs know better.
The Toronto Raptors are NBA Champions and no one can take that away from them or their loyal fans who not only believed it was a possibility but went into the 2018- 19 season knowing come June, the Larry O’Brien trophy would for the first time, belong to a team not based in the United States.
The North has spoken.
