Breakout candidate: Quinn Cook

The Los Angeles Lakers will be under the microscope for much of the season, thanks to LeBron James and Anthony Davis being on their roster. Although, especially with some of the recent injuries that the team has suffered, a potential role has arisen for a player like Quinn Cook.

Cook may not be the first name that jumps off the paper when looking at the “others” on this roster, but he’s certainly someone that could really play off a player like LeBron James, especially if he can hit the 3-point shot on a consistent basis. Cook only averaged seven points per game on 40 percent shooting from 3-point range in 14 minutes per contest last season with the Warriors, but I expect him to have a much bigger role with the Lakers this year.

And if he continues to be an efficient offensive player, there’s no question that he could definitely see an uptick in terms of his counting stats.
