Breakout candidate: Marvin Bagley

Last season, we saw Buddy Hield and De’Aaron Fox really take off as players for the Sacramento Kings. By the end of the season, they emerged as one of the better young backcourt duos in the NBA. Now, with eyes on making a real run towards the playoffs in the Western Conference, the hope is that another one of their young, promising players could make a jump.

That is none other than Marvin Bagley, who is coming off a solid rookie season in which he averaged 15 points and eight rebounds on 50 percent shooting from the field. I believe he could be in for a much bigger season this year, especially if the Kings are going to be a real threat to make the playoffs.

Bagley is as talented of a big as they come for the modern NBA and flashed that at times. Consistency is an issue with Bagley but the hope is that he will begin to come into his own as an NBA player this season. And once he gets comfortable, his immense talent will take over.
