26. Washington Wizards (7-14)
The Washington Wizards are a weird team. They’re fun to watch – yes, I seriously just typed out that sentence – but don’t really have any names, other than Bradley Beal, that any casual NBA fan would recognize. And maybe that’s why they sport one of the most prolific offenses in the league.
But, make no mistake, this team is Beal and not much else. That’s why this team is 7-14 through the first quarter of the season with a little-to-no real shot at making the playoffs.
25. Atlanta Hawks (5-17)
During the summer, the Atlanta Hawks emerged as one of the sweethearts of NBA fans everywhere. Even if you weren’t a fan of the Hawks, many jumped on their bandwagon as a team that could potentially make a rise up the Eastern Conference standings. Through the first quarter of the season, though, that hasn’t been the case.
In fairness, a big reason why may be the suspension of John Collins. For most of the season, the Hawks have been without Collins who, on most nights, is the team’s second-best player. It’ll be interesting to see what this team looks like once they are back at full strength.
