Center: Wilt Chamberlain
Some people consider Wilt Chamberlain a Los Angeles Lakers legend, but that’s farfetched. He played seven NBA seasons in his hometown of Philadelphia. He averaged 50 points per game in a season for the 76ers, dropped 100 points in a game for Philly, and brought the City of Brotherly Love its first NBA championship.
He was by far the most dominant center of his era, let alone in the Philadelphia 76ers franchise. With Wilt controlling the post in a hypothetical game against all-time greats, he’d not only dominate on the offensive end but disrupt the likes of Shaq, Kareem, Bill Russell, and Hakeem Olajuwon on defense with his athleticism.
There’s no question that, at least at the center position, Wilt should be the man to control the paint for the Sixers.
