3. Giannis Antetokounmpo/Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks
Combined stats: 51 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists
You can easily make the case that the Milwaukee Bucks were the NBA’s most dominant team through the 2019-20 regular season. Before Giannis Antetokounmpo missed a few games to an injury heading into the hiatus, the Bucks had not lost back-to-back games all season long. Not to mention that this team had an 18-game winning streak earlier this season en route to a 6.5 game lead over the second seed in the East.
While their probably back-to-back NBA MVP will get most of the praise for the team’s exceptional play in the regular season, the team would not be where it is without Khris Middleton, who often gets overlooked as the team’s second star.
After losing Malcolm Brogdon in the offseason, this team hasn’t missed a beat. And at least part of that is testament to how good of a player Middleton is. Together, they create the most dangerous duo in the Eastern Conference.
This was supposed to be the Bucks’ time to break-through in the East. Hopefully, they’ll still get that chance.
