Brooklyn Nets

Do the Nets have a third option on their team currently?

One thing that the Brooklyn Nets do know is that they are in relatively good hands for the next few years. At the very least, the team has Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant on their roster for the next few seasons, possibly more. However, one thing that they have to answer is whether or not they have a true third option on their team at the moment.

While that onus falls on Joe Harris, who is a free agent after this season, Caris LeVert, who has had some impressive moments over the last two seasons, or perhaps another player that we haven’t touched on yet. The Nets need to figure out, before the offseason, if they have a team that can compete for a championship right now.

After quite a disappointing season, with Kyrie injured for much of the season, it’s difficult for the Nets to gauge that. Does that mean they should make a trade for a third “star” in the offseason? Do they pay Joe Harris the big-money that he’s likely going to demand on the open market?

The Nets have their first two big pieces, but now the real work starts for that front office. Plus, they also need to hire a head coach. This is a big summer for Brooklyn.
