4. Minnesota Timberwolves: Deni Avdija, F, Maccabi Tel Aviv

The Timberwolves could use some help in the backcourt, but landing Deni Avdija with the No. 4 pick will be looked like a huge early-draft steal. Even though Avdija isn’t a name that most casual basketball fans are associated with, he’s coming off a solid season in the Euroleague.

Avdija is somewhat of a polarizing prospect but is certainly a player that could develop into a really productive NBA player. Surrounded by the right supporting cast and in the right developmental system, the 6-foot-9 forward has the potential to be really good in a season or two.

The Wolves have a good starting two in Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell, who was acquired at the NBA Trade Deadline in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, and adding Avdija could give this team the raw overall talent it needs to develop into a real problem in the Western Conference.
