Jerry Krause thought Toni Kukoc was going to be the future of the Bulls; Then Mike and Scottie erased him in the Olympics
In episode 5, the documentary keys on how Jerry Krause scouted and drafted Tony Kukoc in hopes of him eventually becoming the future of the Bulls. Ahead of his time, Kukoc was a versatile player overseas. However, in the 1992 Olympics, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen took out their frustrations of Krause on Kukoc when Team USA faced off against Croatia.
In that first game, Kukoc finished with four points against Team USA.
In the second game, though, Kukoc played much better. Croatia still lost the Gold Medal Game against the Dream Team, but Kukoc finished with 16 points, nine assists, and five rebounds. He showed fight in the second matchup and that he was no pushover.
If nothing else, he proved that he belonged on the same floor as the other NBA greats from Team USA.
