Domantas Sabonis, Indiana Pacers

Domantas Sabonis, since traded to the Indiana Pacers, has been a solid contributor for the team. After becoming a starter this season, Sabonis hasn’t disappointed. Before the hiatus, Sabonis was on his way to his best season to date and was quickly becoming one of the most important players in the team’s lineup.

Sabonis was averaging 19 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists per game on 54 percent shooting from the field before the season was put on pause. Before the season, I’m not sure this kind of jump was foreseeable. Nevertheless, it’s the Pacers’ gain. And the fact that the team locked up Sabonis for the next four years.

Sabonis is an interesting forward in the new NBA and seems to be like a great fit for the Pacers. Even though there are some concerns about his fit next to Myles Turner, this is a good problem to have for Indiana. Sabonis is quickly becoming one of the better power forwards in today’s game.
