18. Dallas Mavericks – Tyler Bey, F, Colorado
After a less than stellar freshman season at Colorado, Tyler Bey has posted back to back impressive seasons. Now, he’ll look to make the jump to the next level. Bey is coming off a junior season in which he averaged 14 points and nine rebounds on 53 percent shooting from the field. What makes him an even more intriguing prospect is the fact that he has improved his 3-point shooting to 42 percent.
Though, he only shot one per game. We’ll have to see if that will stick if he ups that number but the hope is that he can continue to improve in that aspect of his game. And that’s the biggest factor in whether Bey will be a middle of the first-round pick vs. a potential second-round pick.
Bey is really a coin toss right now. Some have him projected to be a potential sleeper in the 2020 NBA Draft while others have him pegged as not ready to make the jump to the NBA. The Dallas Mavericks, however, take the risk at No. 18.
