Indiana Pacers draft mistake: drafting Scott Haskin
In the 1993 NBA Draft the Pacers made one of the worst picks they ever have. With the 14th overall pick the Pacers selected Scott Haskin out of Oregon State. While the 1993 Draft was overall pretty weak, there were a couple of players left on the board that would have been a better pick.
Chris Mills and Sam Cassell were both long time NBA players that contributed to every team they were on. On the other hand, there was Scott Haskin.
Haskin only played one season for the Pacers and that was the only season he played in the NBA. During that one season, he only played 27 games. He averaged 2.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. This solidified Haskin’s spot as one of the Pacers’ worst draft picks.
