Philadelphia 76ers potential trade partner No. 1: Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors, led by president Masai Ujiri, is one of the best teams in the league when it comes to acquiring and developing talent. Vasilije Micic is a player that I think would strive in Toronto’s rotation going forward, and shouldn’t take more than a second-round pick or G League prospect to acquire.
Under Nick Nurse, Micic could be excellent on the ball or off the ball. He can play as a sixth or seventh man and start every now and again. His shooting touch would be valuable to the team and could give them a spot-up threat like that had with Danny Green last season.
In the pick-and-roll, Micic would be an excellent partner with Pascal Siakam who could either feed him easy looks or make smart drives off of Siakam’s screens. If needed Micic can then lead the team’s second unit.
The best part about adding Micic is that he could be a cheap replacement option for Fred VanVleet if Toronto decides that VanVleet’s price is too high as he tests free agency during the offseason.
