Con No. 3 to picking up NBA season at Disney World: It’s still won’t feel like a normal end to the season
Even though the NBA season picking up and concluding in the Disney bubble will be great for players, teams, and fans, no matter what happens over the course of the next few months it will not feel like a proper end to a normal season. Even though the season will be resuming, it’s not going to feel the same.
Even if LeBron James or Giannis Antetokounmpo win a championship, it won’t have the same feeling if they had done it, say last year, or next season. As much as we can argue that this season shouldn’t be looked back differently (or with an asterisk), there’s no question that this season will be remembered in a different light.
That doesn’t mean this season won’t be special by any means. In fact, this will be one for the history books. This will be setting a future precedent.
That said, there’s nothing ideal or perfect about this expected ending in a bubble in Orlando. No matter how magical Disney World can be.
