NBA prediction No. 2: Giannis will solidify his second MVP
Even though LeBron James was making his traditional late-season push towards the NBA’s MVP award, there’s no question that Giannis Antetokounmpo was the clear leader when the hiatus was implemented. And he was showing little sign of slowing down, as he was leading the Bucks to a 60-win pace.
Averaging 30 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists per game on 55 percent shooting from the field and 31 percent from 3-point range, Giannis was having his best season to date. Coming off a season in which he won his first NBA MVP award, it would be absolute insanity should he not win it again this season – especially with the Bucks sporting the best record in the NBA.
With his goal within reach, I believe we’ll see a motivated Giannis – not only to win his second league MVP but to also win his first NBA championship.
There are plenty of players enjoying fantastic seasons this year, but none have been at the level of Giannis.
